First Snowdrop:

Spring is in the air even if we have "snow flurries" today. What we need is rain really, for things to get green... But our back yard snowdrops are coming!

LOL this would be beautiful, but our snow drop space is not as luscious green, we have one thus far:

And inspired by the subtle fresh white scent we dress in white:

For more WHITE ON WHITE inspiration you may enjoy a visit at Tina's Enchanted Home:

Or perhaps wearing this white-silver bracelet by a Swedish designer Maria Rudman would be a lovely spring choice?

I am noticing the spring hues even when driving, we did see the first "pink cadilac" ...

Ok here are the perfect season powder pink sandals  by Alexander Wang to go with the car:

Powder pink nail polish ....and powder blue... on your mind?

Try this PORCELAIN colour by DIOR:

And I will wear this NINA RICCI dress even if I have to cover it UP with FUR due to the snowing business in Calgary!

Hope you are having a great
Friday, and amazing weekend
too!

Happy Mother's Day to You!

It just so happens that our double blossom plum is blooming this weekend and for the very first time in Calgary, we managed to grow my favourite SNOWDROPS! Can you even believe that? This year was full of them, first my sweetest hubby had them shipped for me from Vancouver in flowerpots, next I managed to smell them and love them in my home Czech Republic, and upon my return from Europe, voila, here in our backyard!  3 times this year, wow....

I am wishing you all the loveliest Mother's Day and may you be feeling as blessed and lucky as me, with the 3 most important men in my life by my side, my husband, my son and my dad. So happy!

Enjoy your weekend, XO Z

Our very first Calgary Snowdrops!

All great things come in 3, right?

Snowdrops on Valentine's as always ....

And it is so very special for me as these Eastern European flowers are hard to find! Blooming only in the early spring when snow is still on the ground....they are the first flowers to show up.
My husband searched for them since he proposed to me and now he has a "guy" who brings them for him from BC! Lucky me... Ahhhh

And the beautiful spring smell they give is heavenly! Lilly of the valley ... Similar but they smell much too strong ... Snowdrops are like a blend of fresh snow and spring in the air with a touch of sweetness of childhood to me.

Have a lovely Valentine's day!
XO, Z
